A GROUP of Barnsley sea cadets have been left devastated after heartless vandals smashed the window of their mini bus.
The incident occurred on Armed Forces Day last month. When the group returned to their bus after they’d finished parading, they found the window of the bus had been broken, and CCTV footage revealed the damage was caused by hooded youths.
The Cadets rely on the vehicle to take them to events, activities and competitions, however the damage means the bus cannot be used until the £500 to pay for repairs can be raised.
The group is taking part in sponsored walks and supermarket bag packing to raise the money, and are appealing to the public for help.
