A FORMER boxing world champion has visited a Penistone school to teach kids how to keep a healthy heart.
Former world light middleweight champion Paul 'Silky' Jones vistited Springvale Primary school to teach pupils how to keep active and look after their hearts.
The children did skipping sessions with the former champ as well as hearing during assembly all about how important it is to keep active and play sport.
Silky Jones, who won the world light middleweight title in 1995, was delighted to have been able to pass on some of his health skills to the children.
He said: "It's so important to start good healthy lifestyle habits when you are young because they will last you for a lifetime.
"It's been fantastic working with the children at Springvale School who have really enjoyed going through the exercises and understand the importance of keeping fit to maintain a healthy heart."
