A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the face at a house on Sheffield Road last night.
Police were called to the house at about 9pm following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
The woman was taken to hospital with a suspected stab wound to her face but has since been discharged.
Police have since arrested a 46-year-old man on suspicion of assault. He currently remains in police custody.
