A FREE awareness and training session will be held to help assist family and friends of dementia sufferers.
The Barnsley Independent Alzheimer’s & Dementia Support (BIADS) are set to hold the session at BIADS’ Dementia Support Centre at the Joseph Exley House in Dean Street, Barnsley on Tuesday, June 14 at 2pm.
A spokesman for BIADS said: “If you have a relative or friend who has any form of dementia, or if you just want to find out about this illness which is affecting more and more of us, this could be the event for you.
"Approximately 3,000 people in Barnsley have dementia so most of us know someone who is affected."
The sessopm will last approximately two hours.
