POLICE have confirmed that 15 arrests were made before and after Barnsley's game against Millwall yesterday.

Scuffles broke out before, during and after the match at Wembley, which Barnsley won 3-1 to seal promotion from League One to the Championship.

The victory was marred by ugly scenes in the stands however, with footage circulating on social media showing Millwall fans approaching Barnsley supporters after Lloyd Isgrove's headed goal put Barnsley 3-1 ahead.

Further footage shows that scuffles broke out on Wembley Way.

Metropolitan Police released arrest figures at 9.20am this morning, revealing 15 people were arrested before and after the game, largely for public order offences.

The crowd trouble is still being investigated.
