AN INQUEST has been opened on a Barnsley man who died after falling from the roof of a shopping centre.
Graham Michael Sykes, 56, of Braemar Rise, South Hiendley, died on February 19 after falling from the roof of the Ridings Shopping Centre car park.
The inquest was told he had driven to Wakefield in his van, before driving his mobility scooter to the top floor of the car park.
He was then seen by a witness to slide off the roof falling to the road side.
Paramedics attended but Mr Sykes was pronounced dead.
