BRIDE and groom Dawn Duerden and Andrew Haigh will receive a spectacular welcome when they marry at Cannon Hall this weekend.

On their arrival to the Georgian country house, they will receive the guard of honour from a number of Wellington’s proud redcoats.

The soldiers will be taking part in fierce battles in the Hall’s stunning park and gardens throughout the weekend, as part of a 150 strong Napoleonic re-enactment.

The troops will mark the occasion with a guard of honour as the couple arrive at the venue.

They will then end the ceremony with a royal salute.

It will be a day to remember for visitors to the Hall as well as the bride and groom.

Over the bank holiday weekend, people can experience dramatic battles as well as take part in fun family activities.
