POLICE are appealing for information after a boy was hit by a car when attempting to cross a road in Royston.
The 11-year-old suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a red Peugeot 206 - driven by a 22-year-old Wakefield man - on May 18 at around 5.40pm. It happened as the car approached the junction of Bisley Close.
The boy sustained head injuries and bruising and was taken to Sheffield Childrens Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Peugeot did not sustain any injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with information that could assist officers is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 918 of 18 May 2012.
