POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Hoyland which resulted in a pensioner being airlifted to hospital.

At around 2pm yesterday (Friday 1 April), it was reported that a black Suzuki Swift travelling along King Street in Hoyland was in collision with a parked grey Peugeot 207.

The driver of the Suzuki, a 75-year-old woman from Thurnscoe, was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries.

She remains in a serious but stable condition.

Two passengers, a 71-year-old woman and 73-year-old man, suffered minor injuries.
