FIVE new luxury houses will be built on the site of the former Needlewood children's home.
Builder Haton Homes Limited was granted planning permission last week for the development of the four and five bedroom properties, which will be built on the site off Keresforth Hill Road.
The former care home closed in 2002. The derelict building suffered vandalism and arson after closure, but has now been demolished.
