TWO speed cameras sites in Barnsley have been scrapped.
Cameras on Rotherham Road at Cundy Cross and Wombwell Lane, Stairfoot, have been axed as part of an ongoing review looking at the future of speeds cameras across Barnsley.
The South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership, which operates the cameras, regularly reviews its fixed speed cameras, identifying sites that based on their location, speed profiles and casualty history, should be considered for decommissioning.
