A ZEBRA crossing and stop sign will not be installed on a busy road in Staincross, despite the council receieving a 289-signature petition.
The council received the petition calling for the installation of a crossing and stop sign on junctions of Staincross Common with Shaw Lane and Greenside and the junction of Paddock Road and Shaw Lane, after several serious accidents.
But the council said the sites did not meet the required criteria.
