A NUMBER of council services will relocate at the start of next month.

Services currently based at The Civic will relocate to Central Library, Wellington House, from Friday 1 April.

Services making the move include duty officer services for planning and building control, licensing, human resources (DBS checks) and public access computers.

As part of the changes, licensing will move to pre-booked appointments only, rather than drop in appointments as currently offered.

The last drop in appointments will be available on Tuesday 29 March. Following this date, people are asked to book appointments by calling 773843 or emailing licensing@barnsley.gov.uk

In preparation for the move, the planning, building control and licensing duty officer services and public access computers will close at The Civic on Tuesday 29 March 2016 at 5pm.

These services will reopen on Friday 1 April at Wellington House.

Welfare rights, Housing options, Local welfare assistance and Children in care will remain at the civic.
