WORK is underway on a multi-million pound project to redevelop Hoyland that will create scores of jobs.
Barnsley Council and developers Resilienti have announced plans to build a new supermarket and shops, ‘re-model’ the Town Hall and install kiosks on the High Street.
The market will be relocated to a new site on Southgate behind the Town Hall and will have improved facilities.
The plans are designed to complement the existing landmark Hoyland Centre which provides modern office space for Barnsley Council staff and includes a GP practice, pharmacy, community nursing services, a library and learning centre and café.
