THE MAYOR'S PARADE will celebrate the 'Best of Barnsley' this year.
This year’s theme celebrates all things that the borough has to be proud of.
The council says ideas could range from people, industries and buildings to landscapes, artists and groups.
Coun Roy Miller said: “The Mayor's Parade is a fantastic event and a great way to bring the residents of the town together.
"It is always a fun family day out and as usual there will be lots of entertainment to keep the crowds entertained.
"I am sure people will embrace this year’s theme as there is so much in Barnsley to be proud of, so let’s celebrate the very best in the borough.”
