A COMPETITION has been launched to uncover young entrepreneurs in Barnsley.
The I Know I Can (IKIC) Big Challenge enterprise competition launched for primary schools in February with a marketing workshop at Horizon Community College.
The challenge tasks young people to create and run their own businesses.
The Big Challenge provides mentors from local businesses to support students with monthly mentoring sessions and a £25 investment in their business idea.
Teams who attended the launch workshop practised promoting their business ideas by creating TV adverts, and included some exciting product ideas including handmade soaps and candles and upcycling old pieces of jewellery.
