A HEALTH GROUP is warning that cases of an animal born food poisoning bug are on the rise.
Cryptosporidium (Crypto) occurs naturally in the gut of animals and can be passed on to humans directly or through their manure.
Crypto is easily spread person to person due to poor hand washing. It causes severe diarrhoea.

Between August and November 2014, Barnsley had 12 reported cases. For the same period last year there were 45 reported and investigated cases.
