STUDENTS from Barnsley College were presented with a framed certificate from the British Legion to thank them for their work on Remembrance Day.

Students from the Production Arts course worked on the audio-visual show for the service held at St Mary’s Church, creating a sensory experience that featured poems, photographs of fallen soldiers, and a light show.

Aubrey Martin-Wells, chairman of the Barnsley Royal British Legion, said: “Each year the students work very, very hard to create a sound and light show that is marvellous to watch and a befitting tribute for Remembrance Day.

"We love to get young people involved with the Royal British Legion and are delighted that the students take part in the Remembrance events. To show our appreciation we were pleased to present the students with a certificate.”
