ALMOST one in three 10 to 11 year olds in Barnsley are overweight or obese, and there is a warning figures could rise.
The figures, provided by the National Child Measurement Programme who measure the height and weight of children, also suggested that almost one fifth of children measured aged 4-5 were overweight or obese.
Researchers are warning the figures could rise if there is an increase in participants for next year's study.
