POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly assaulted in the Smithies area of Barnsley last Saturday night (13 February).
A 42-year-old man is said to have been walking through a park in Brunswick Close, when he was approached by a group of men sometime between 9.45pm and 10.05pm.
The man suffered minor facial injuries as a result of the incident.
The group of men are described as wearing dark clothing and hooded tops.
