A DAY-LONG charity event in memory of a Barnsley tot who died after choking on a grape has raised over £650.

The event - in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity - was organised by the family and friends of little Jack. It was held at Walkabout with an auction, bouncy castle and hypnotist.

Mum Rebecca Overton said: "We would like to give huge thanks to everyone involved in this event in memory of our little boy Jack. This charity is very close to our hearts as Jack was airlifted from his grandparents house in Shropshire to Birmingham Childrens Hospital after choking on a grape.

"The air ambulance runs on charity donations so please, please dig deep and help them to save more lives. We were unlucky but you never know when you might need help yourselves."

So far, the family has raised over £2,500 for the charity.
