TWO supermarkets are warning customers of an online scam which is circulating fake discount coupons on Facebook.

Tesco and Aldi have both warned customers that the vouchers - some offering as much as 40 per cent off - are fake and were made by fraudsters to try to capture personal details.

Aldi UK said: "We have been notified that there is a hoax 40 per cent off Aldi voucher being circulated online.

“Please be aware that this post is fraudulent and cannot be redeemed in our stores.“

We strongly advise that you do not complete any personal details or enter the competition that is running as part of claiming the voucher.“

Tesco said the scame affecting them offers a free £250 voucher to the first people who log in. But again this is fake and an attempt to capture personal details.
