VOLUNTEERS are raising cash in memory of a Barnsley lad who died - so that his school friends have a place to go to remember him.
Young Mitchell Hepworth died in October following a short illness and now Adele Jones wants to raise enough cash to install a friendship bench for him at Wombwell Park Street School.
She said: "Mitchell was a fun loving little man and his passing touched us so much we decided we had to do something, anything to help remember such a fantastic little lad who left us way too soon.
"He was a friendly, bright, fun loving and happy little boy who thoroughly enjoyed school life. He will be greatly missed."
