POLICE are appealing for information after tests revealed a teenager found locked in Oakwell last month was drugged.
The boy, 16, was found in the toilets at 10pm at Oakwell in October - at the time it was thought he had fallen asleep.
But police say thir investigation has now taken a more sinister turn because traces of a substance which could have been used to drug him were found in his system.
PC Ben Taylor said: "This incident did attract a significant amount of media attention at the time and there may now be a more sinister side behind what took place.
"If you were at the match and you saw anything which you think could be related to this incident, please contact us, as your information could be vital."
The lad was missing his shoes, mobile phone and hat.
