WORK starts on Monday to develop the former CEAG site into a car park with secure places to lock your bikes.

Contractor Henry Boot will transformed the site into a 170-space car park which will have locking facilities for motorbikes and bikes.

It will also house a charging point for electric vehicles.

A feature 'light wall', which will improve the retaining wall to the Harborough Hill Road flyover, will also be developed as a nod to the history of CEAG, which was established in 1912 when the company won a government competition to design a safety lamp.
