FUNDING has been found for Christmas lights and a tree on Wombwell High Street.
It was in question as they are usually funded by the now disbanded High Street Committee.
The Wombwell Ward Alliance secured funding and now a Christmas gala will mark the light switch on.
The switch on will take place at 4pm on Saturdy, alongside charity stalls featuring raffles and tombola, two children’s roundabouts and a Christmas-themed market.
The timetable for the Christmas fair is:
Community stalls 10-4pm
Santa’s Grotto 11-4pm
Elsa, Anna and Olaf singing songs from Disney’s Frozen 11-1pm
John the Magic Man 1-3.30pm
Dancing display 1.30-2.30pm
Festive songs around the Christmas Tree 3.30pm
