A PROPER Christmas dinner will be served to scores of homeless people in Barnsley - but help is needed to add a festive touch.
Barnsley Churches Drop-in Project, on John Street, will be serving a roast dinner on Christmas Day for about 40 people.
While volunteers have already flocked to help serve up the lunch, things like small gifts and Christmas crackers would be appreciated.
Chairman Kate Raynor said: “Such simple things can have a huge impact on a person who has very little. Christmas is a time for family, for spending time with those we love. When this is not possible, Christmas can be a really difficult time of year."
