A POORLY mum had to watch her daughter's wedding on Skype because she was too ill to attend.
Jill Speed was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in September - just weeks before she was due to fly to Malta to see her daughter Kerry get married.
Now Kerry is trying to raise £20,000 to fund pioneering treatments that aren't available in the UK.
She said: "I do think it will help and I really need everyone’s help to get her there.
“I researched on the internet to see what was out there and found a clinic in Germany. I’m hoping to get mum there by March.”
So far, Kerry has raised £1,700. She has signed up to run a half marathon in February and is organising a day and night of live music featuring several bands including The Hearts on January 30.
