THE DEMOLITION of an old school will go ahead after plans for 32 homes on the site were approved.

Grove Street School closed several years and was sold by the council at auction.

Since then the site, across the road from Oakwell, has been subject to fires and vandalism.

Now 24 two and three bedroom terraced houses and eight three bedroom semi-detached properties will be developed on the site.
