BUILDING work will soon begin on Barnsley's temporary covered market - which has already been fully let to traders.
This week signalled a major step forward in town centre redevelopment plans - the demolition of Central Offices began on Monday.
The building will be completely dismantled over the next eight weeks and the concrete structure recycled to produce thousands of tons of reusable crushed concrete.
Once the Central offices site has been cleared work will start on building the new temporary covered market facility.
