A DESPERATE Barnsley family which has been stuck in Egypt since the terror attack ten days ago are appealing for help.
Paul Owen Cherry, Kay Cunliffe and their children Katie, 12, and Kyle, 10, flew out from Manchester to Sharm el-Sheikh on November 3, preparing to enjoy their family holiday.
But just a day later all flights out were cancelled after a Russian passanger plane was bombed.
Paul said: "The atmosphere is terrible - the local businesses are quite hostile, when we arrived we were packed in hotel with hundreds of holiday makers and now there's around five to ten British in our hotel at most.
"Most staff at hotel have been given leave.
"We wanted to come home as soon as all the alerts came over here that it was a bomb that brought down the plane but we couldn't get home."
The family have been waiting to be given a flight home - scores of planes were turned back from Egypt amid safety fears but they have finally been told their last chance home for another week is on Saturday - flying to Luton and arriving at around 11pm.
But all the taxis they had booked to bring them home are from Manchester - on different days and so they are appealing for a local taxi company to help bring them home.
If anyone can help email nicky@wearebarnsley.com before 4pm today and we will pass on your details.
