A BARNSLEY man who has appeared on national TV talking about his struggle with MND needs to raise cash to adapt his home.

The alterations are expected to cost £40,000 - and Ian is £10,000 short of that figure.

Ian Pratt was diagnosed with MND in September 2012 at the age of 42 - his daughter Georgiana had just turned two.

He said: "Since diagnosis we have had to make many changes to our life and home and I am having difficulty getting upstairs to our bedroom, bathroom and toilet.

"We are planning on undertaking major alterations to the downstairs to allows me to move downstairs and live as normal life as possible.

"Our renovations will include a new bedroom, wet room, a family room and door widening to allow wheelchair access to the whole downstairs area."
