AN ASYLUM seeker support service will be relaunched in Barnsley this week to work with the government on plans to rehome Syrian refugees.

The Government has announced plans to rehome 20,000 Syrian regugees in the UK - exactly what that means for Barnsley is not yet clear.

Barnsley's last asylum support services was axed earlier this year after funding through G4S ended - now the service will be reintroduced to offer asylum seekers and migrants advice on schools, housing, health services, and help with benefits advice.
