BARNSLEY residents have the opportunity to sign up to a scheme aimed at getting a better deal on energy bills.
The project, hosted by Sheffield City Council, encourages people to register their details around their current energy bills.
All the major energy companies will then bid for the best price for all those signed up to ensure they get a better deal on their energy bills.
Coun Roy Miller said: “The auction will take place in mid-October and people will be able to switch between October 19 and November 16, 2015. The more people that sign up, the better the deal will be.
“When an offer has been negotiated there is no obligation to switch if people who have applied are not happy with the offer.”
People who may have signed up for this offer before, but didn’t switch, need to register their details again at www.bigsheffieldswitch.org.uk/ again for this auction.
