A SPECIAL memorial service for families who have lost a child at any time during or after pregnancy is being held, as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The service will be held at the chapel inside Barnsley Hospital from 2pm on Sunday, October 11.
Families will be invited to light candles and will also have the opportunity to ask for their baby or child’s name to be read out.
The service will include the reading of poems, a short talk and some songs.
At the end, balloons will be released from the hospital’s memorial garden to mark the occasion and refreshments will be served.
