A 25-YEAR-OLD woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries yesterday after a rush-hour crash in Silkstone.
Emergency services were called at around 5.10pm on Monday, October 5, to reports of a crash on the A628 Barnsley Road, at the junction of Hall Head Lane.
A Silver Ford Ranger 4x4, travelling along the A628 on Barnsley Road towards Silkstone, and a silver Ford Fiesta, travelling in the opposite direction towards Dodworth, were involved in the collision.
The driver of the Ford Fiesta, a 25-year-old woman from Leeds, was airlifted to Northern General Hospital with serious injuries.
A 22-year-old man from Holmfirth, who was driving the Ford Ranger, was taken to Barnsley District General Hospital with minor injuries.
