SHOPPERS in the Alhambra were surprised when over 50 young people from Barnsley College burst into dance.
The group students posed as unassuming shoppers dotted around the centre foyer before launching into a well-rehearsed dance routine to Pharrell Williams’ Happy.
Barnsley College and the Alhambra had previously discussed ways in which students could get involved with activities planned as part of the centre’s fashion week.
Performing Arts Course Leader Donna Turner said: "They were absolutely fabulous and got a well-deserved round of applause from appreciative shoppers.”
The flashmob was just one activity planned with students also standing as live mannequins in shop windows for featured stores and designers.
