MYSTERY remains surrounding the death of a 19-year-old man in Barnsley after a post mortem has proved inconclusive.

The young man, who has been named locally as Callum Brankin, was found dead by police at a home on Smithies Lane at 3.53pm on Sunday, September 6.

Two men arrested in connection with the death have been released on bail. Although police have said they are currently not looking for anyone else.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Singleton said: "A post mortem has been carried out which has proved inconclusive in terms of establishing an exact cause of death.

"We are continuing to make enquiries and further toxicology tests are being undertaken.

"Two men arrested in connection with the death have been released on police bail.

"We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation."
