A FORMER England captain and World Cup winner visited Shaw Lane to give a coaching masterclass to the Barnsley Ladies Rugby Team.
Clare Purdy went through drills used by the England coaching team and talked about the finer points of set plays ahead of their friendly match away to Mellish Ladies.
The training session was a definite success as Barnsley came away victorious with a score of 57-5.
Clare also took time out to talk about her experiences playing at the top level with the ladies team.
Barnsley Ladies are now looking forward to their first ever League match on Sunday, September 20, at home to Bishop Auckland with a 2.45pm kick off.
