A COMMUNITY based music studio, which was put under threat when it could not meet the costs of its building, has been saved by the Dearne Playhouse.
Kiri Sykes from Crib Studio originally contacted We Are Barnsley appealing for help to relocate.
We ran a story explaining that the music studio was unable to meet the costs of its building on Cemetery Road in Wombwell and needed help.
Kiri said: "After seeing the story, Julie Medlam who runs the Dearne Playhouse messaged me to say they had a basement that has been done out for a studio but was never used.
"We are now in there and working well. We have new volunteers and things are looking very bright for the future."
The Crib Studio will hold an open evening at 7.30pm on September 10 to debut their new facilities at the Dearne Playhouse.
