A PHARMACY in Wombwell has been forced to padlock its bins after people have been rifling though them looking for drugs.

Akram's Pharmacy on the High Street first had an issue with people rooting through its rubbish two to three years ago.

But in the past few weeks, the problem has resurfaced.

Pharmacist Ali Rasool said: "They are going through and I assume they are looking for drugs.

"Any returned medication or medication which is not needed we have special bins for, which are kept inside and collected each month. It is all incinerated.

"Anything outside is exactly what it is - rubbish."
