TWO people will face trial for the murder of a Wombwell man after pleading not guilty at court last week.
Ian Birley, 43, and Helen Nichols, 38, both from Mont Walk, Wombwell, pleaded not guilty to the murder of John Gogarty, 65.
A post mortem found that Mr Gogarty died from multiple stab wounds at his home on Marsh Street on July 17 - in what police believed to be a targeted attack.
A trial is set to take place on November 17 at Sheffield Crown Court and is expected to run for more than ten days.
