A BARNSLEY photographer recently organised a special wedding shoot involving 12 already-married brides.
Olivia Burgess, 21, of Glenville Close, Hoyland, has already established a successful business taking wedding photographs and decided it would be fun to give women a second chance at enjoying wearing their bridal gowns.
She lined up 12 friends and family outside Cannon Hall, some of them even sewing new dresses for the occasion.
One lady had been married twice but not been able to afford a dress on either occasion so it was a very special day for her, while another was celebrating her own wedding anniversary.
The ambitious photographer worked with Barnsley Council’s Enterprising Young People project to organise the shoot.
She said: "I’ve seen that often the bride is too stressed about all the arrangements to really enjoy wearing her beautiful dress – so I invited all my friends to have a second chance."
