COMPUTER generated images of Barnsley's new library have been submitted to the council this week.
Outline planning application for the town centre redevelopment was approved by Barnsley Council’s planning board in July.
This includes plans for the development of retail, leisure and market space, including areas for food and drink and a cinema, along with an additional shopping area.
There are proposals for a new library, car parking on the former CEAG site and a pedestrian footbridge across the railway.
The Metropolitan Centre will also be refurbished and extended.
