TWO men were arrested after a crash on Barugh Green Road resulted in a 75-year-old woman needing hospital treatment.
Police began to follow a blue Nissan Micra shortly after 12pm on Wednesday, July 29, which had failed to stop for officers on Fall Bank Crescent in Dodworth.
A short time later the suspect car collided with a silver coloured Ford Focus on Barugh Green Road before striking a stationary Ford Transit vehicle and coming to rest in a nearby wall.
A 75-year-old woman, who was a front seat passenger in the Focus, was taken to Barnsley District Hospital with chest injuries.
A 77-year-old man was also taken to hospital for a check-up.
Two men in the Nissan Micra, both aged 22 and from the local area, were arrested at the scene and were taken to hospital with injuries.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and a number of other motoring offences.
The men have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
