AROUND a thousand people have visited Barnsley by the sea since it opened on Saturday, July 18.
The landlocked beach and classic seaside entertainment has proved popular with local people.
Other entertainment has been drawing large crowds too, from the sea themed troupe of roaming street performers to Punch and Judy.
The attraction will finish on Saturday, August 1.
