TWO people appeared before Barnsley Magistrates' Court yesterday charged with murder in connection to the fatal stabbing of John Gogarty.
Helen Nichols, 38, and Ian Birley, 43, both of Mont Walk, were arrested on Thursday from a home in Wombwell at around 10am.
The pair were remanded in custody to appear at Sheffield Crown Court next month.
Mr Gogarty's body was found at his house on Marsh Street in Wombwell on Friday, July 17.
A 48-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday, July 21, remains on police bail.
