A MAN arrested on suspicion of murdering John Gogarty at his home in Wombwell has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The 48-year-old arrested Barnsley man was held in custody and questioned by police on Tuesday, July 21.

Officers were called to Marsh Street at around 4pm on Friday, July 17 where they discovered Mr Gogarty's body.

The 65-year-old died from multiple stab wounds.
