TWO loving dads will take on this year's Great Yorkshire Run as a thank you to the hospital that treats their tots.
Dale and Chris will join Team Theo for the 10k race on Sunday, September 27 in a bid to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield.
Dale Kilner, 29, of Worsborough, has been visiting the hospital with his daughter since she was born. One-year-old Daisy suffers from hip dysplasia which means her leg is prone to come out of its socket.
Chris Clayton, 31, of Wombwell, decided to take on the active challenge in support of his eldest son. Oliver, 7, has been treated at hospital over the past 12 months for asthma and hearing problems.
Dale said: “After everything I’ve been through with Daisy and everything Chris has had to go through with Oliver, when you’re on the hospital ward and you see people in worse positions than what you’re going through, it really hits home and you look at things a little differently.
"We just want to help anybody who has to come to the hospital.”
