POLICE want to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to John Gogarty in the week leading up to his murder.
Officers were called to his home on Marsh Street at around 4pm on Friday, July 17 where they discovered the 65-year-old's body.
Mr Gogarty died from multiple stab wounds. Police believe he probably knew his killer.
Investigators want to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Gogarty between Friday, July 10 to when his body was discovered on Friday, July 17.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Etheridge said: "If anyone has any information they think may assist us, however apparently insignificant, please do get in touch.
“We have a dedicated team of officers working around the clock and are following a number of lines of enquiry.”
